Senior Software Engineer

What We're Looking For

We are working on tons of exciting projects spanning client interfaces, stylist tools, elastic search, and payment and order processing. Our "secret sauce" is a deep data system to support client-stylist match and machine-learning driven recommendations on clothing and looks. Our tech-stack is mainly composed of Python/Django, Redis, Docker, Celery and is hosted on AWS. We’re looking for someone excited to join a small, early-stage team where he/she can be a critical part of designing and building out this critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do

  • Own and innovate features across our entire technology infrastructure
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and business teams to understand needs, propose solutions, and deliver final projects
  • Improve our infrastructure services/components to achieve greater scalability, performance, efficiency, and reliability
  • Measure and optimize performance of production systems
  • Write unit tests, and document your work
  • You'll be in a key position in the early stage of our data science and machine learning initiative.

What We'd Like to See in You

  • 5+ years development experience, with strong Python/Django
  • 5+ years development experience with MySQL
  • Experience with building service-oriented architecture
  • Good understanding of Linux, algorithms, data structures, network protocols and web services

  • Experience with a range of modern data stores (Redis, ElasticSearch)

Our Front-end code is primarily built with jQuery and deployed on NGINX. Our overall tech-stack is mainly composed of Python/Django, Redis, Docker, Celery and is hosted on AWS. We are seeking an amazing front-end developer who is excited to join a small, early-stage team where he/she can be a critical part of designing and building our client and stylist facing products. In addition to being a great engineer, we want someone who loves creating products that delight users!

  • Develop various back-end services and UI/UX to support our client-facing website where our customers interact with their lookbooks and place orders
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and business teams to understand needs, propose solutions, and deliver final projects
  • Improve our infrastructure services/components to achieve greater scalability, performance, efficiency, and reliability

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients to understand their needs.
  • Come up with clothing suggestions and overall looks that you think the client will love.
  • Source items from a range of established and up-and-coming clothing and accessories brands.

  • Once the client decides what to buy, give feedback via text, photo sharing, and email.

Basic Qualifications

Allume is searching for a Senior Manager, Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) to develop and execute email and text messaging based marketing strategies that will drive improved customer engagement, purchase, and repeat. This role spans strategy and planning; creative development and production; testing, analytics, and reporting; as well as execution. This role has the opportunity to grow into owning all of quantitative marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop email and text messaging marketing strategies - based on appropriate customer and lifecycle segmentations - to support our key business priorities; namely to drive CLV via customer acquisition, purchase conversion, repeat rate.
  • Partner with creative team to develop high-performing, brand-enhancing email campaigns: write creative briefs; provide creative feedback based on prior performance.
  • Manage campaign execution including customer segmentation, testing protocol, and technical execution. Build audiences & refine HTML to launch email campaigns using MailChimp and text messaging campaigns.
